A swim meet is eleven events in a fixed order, scored on a table that changes depending on whether it's a dual or an invitational, with times that need to be recorded to a hundredth of a second. None of that fits in a box labeled “final score.” TeamLoop calls them swim meets and swimmers, and sets the meet up before you get there.
The standard high school order — medley relay to open, 400 free relay to close. Create a meet and the events are already there in the right sequence.
Individual events score 6–4–3–2–1; relays score 8–4–2, because a relay is four swimmers and the table should say so.
Scoring 12 or 16 places, with the full championship tables — individual events open 16–13–12 or 20–17–16, and relays score double throughout.
Times are recorded and displayed the way a swimmer reads them — 54.32 for a sprint, 2:05.03 once you're over a minute. Exhibition swims and DQs score zero automatically rather than needing to be remembered.
Every swim is checked against that swimmer's best in the event, so a season best is recognized the moment it happens — which is the number the swimmer actually cares about, whatever the team score did.
